Resources for Veterans: Business Resources

Services: The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) program is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling, and resource partner referrals to service members, veterans, National Guard & Reserve members, and military spouses interested in starting or growing a small business. SBA has 28 organizations participating in this cooperative agreement and serving as VBOCs.

Services: NYU Veterans Future Lab's free, introductory educational program for active-duty service members, US military veterans, and their spouses who seek to learn entrepreneurial skills or pursue business ventures. Virtual classes are held weekly for 10 weeks every Fall and Spring.

Services: If you are a Veteran who owns a small business, you may qualify for advantages when bidding on government contracts—along with access to other resources and support—through the Vets First Verification Program. This program is run by the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Registering through OSDBU will allow you to work with us (all businesses who work with VA must be registered).

Services: If you are a service member or Veteran with a service-connected disability and employment barrier who has the strong desire, skills, and drive to run a successful business, you may be interested in the Self-Employment track. Services: VEP makes it easier for small businesses to access federal services, regardless of its source—and quickly connects Veteran entrepreneurs to relevant ‘best-practices’ and information.
